Meet Dr. Samira Paul | Founder, Olive Tree Psychology Clinic
Dr. Paul is a licensed clinical psychologist with the authority to practice interjurisdictional telepsychology in 40+ States. She is the Founder of Olive Tree Psychology Clinic, LLC, a psychology clinic providing individual, couples and family therapy located in Bethesda, Maryland. Some of her specialities include depression, anxiety, family and relationship issues, and management of chronic illness including multiple sclerosis. Dr. Paul earned her doctorate in psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology, led and published research during her time at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, focused on behavioral impacts on cognition in multiple sclerosis, and has helped clients in hospitals, inpatient facilities and in private clinics.
Dr. Paul loves to give back to the field and her community, and has taught classes in family therapy, adult psychopathology, cognitive psychology and neuropsychology to doctoral students, provided educational webinars to the community, and led the District of Columbia Psychological Association (DCPA), both as the first chair of the Diversity Committee, and then as President of the DCPA from 2022-2023.
She understands the importance of culture, faith, and community, and will work with her clients to create a personalized therapeutic experience tailored for their individual goals and centered on their needs. She is multilingual and offers therapy in both English and Arabic.
